Mara specializes in working with anxiety disorders, self-esteem, and personality disorders; She also has the unique niche of working researchers/ academics as well as well as those who have lived abroad. Her therapeutic work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic therapy. She is warm and open-minded allowing her clients to have a safe space to open up. Prior to becoming a therapist, Mara worked as a researcher at Harvard Medical School, University of Pennsylvania, and as a Fulbright scholar in Budapest, Hungary, studying psychotherapeutic interventions for anxiety disorders and personality disorders. Her work has resulted in 20+ publications in research journals and popular science magazines. She lived in Europe for 5 years and travels often abroad in order to engage in several cultures.

Meron has worked in various settings including schools, outpatient, and residential. She especially enjoys supporting others in taking charge of life's expected and unexpected transitions.

Jamie is passionate about psychotherapy and the impact it can have on society. His passion for psychotherapy stemmed from his own experiences with therapy and the powerful impact it made on his own life. He has a reflective style that he brings into the therapeutic environment in order to achieve deeper and more authentic connections with clients. He displays high levels of conscientiousness which allows him to be deeply engaged with his clients. Jamie is a British therapist, and prior to being a psychotherapist career spanned across the corporate sectors in London, England. This enables him to incorporate his own professional experiences into his therapeutic work, specifically with working professionals who suffer from anxiety, burn-out and stress. Jamie primarily works through a psychodynamic lens, however, tailors his approach to meet the clients needs. 

Julie Stern, LICSW

Julie strives to create a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic space using humor and light-heartedness. While pulling from many therapeutic approaches in her work, Julie specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). This is a skills-based approach where Julie guides clients through different concepts, including mindfulness, coping through stressful experiences, managing emotions, and communicating effectively with others. Julie also specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), where clients will learn strategies to more easily fall and stay asleep. After each session, Julie knows she did her job when her clients can leave with tangible skills to reach their goals and create the life they want to live. Julie has experience with clients of all ages, while particularly enjoying working with students, young adults, and professionals.

Disha Joshi, LMHC

Disha is passionate about advocating for the destigmatization of mental health across cultures with the power of group therapy. She has a professional background in behavioral medicine and evidence-based therapies, particularly DBT. Disha enjoys working with adults, particularly trauma-sensitive populations, LGBTQ+, first generation immigrants, people struggling with disordered eating, students/ young professionals, and those with depression and anxiety. She strives to create a safe, nurturing group atmosphere that allows everyone to feel comfortable to be vulnerable. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, as well Narrative, Psychodynamic, and Existential Therapy.

Lily believes everyone deserves a warm, safe space to process life's experiences. She works in a collaborative manner that often involves education, encouragement, humor, and careful listening and helps her clients connect to their emotional experience, explore why certain patterns of thinking and behaving exist, heal wounds of the past, and create meaningful change. Lily’s focus is on supporting kids, teens, and young adults to navigate things like depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors/transitions, self worth, and relationships. Her approach is holistic and integrative, drawing from a variety of approaches to incorporate both the mind and body; most commonly incorporating acceptance and commitment (ACT), internal family systems (IFS), and other creative outlets such as art, play, and yoga.

Emma Naszvadi, MA, Clinical Psychologist

Emma believes everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and reach greater levels of understanding and happiness in life. She has been trained in various clinical techniques in Europe, including schema therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. Emma is experienced in working with individuals with cross-cultural issues.

Emma works collaboratively with her clients to understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to gain insight into their unique situations and find solutions that work for them, creating lasting changes in their lives.

Lauren Cohen, LCSW

She specializes in working with her clients to find the roots of their pains. She offers a safe and open space where clients are free to explore how their childhoods, relationships, and present environments have impacted who they are.

Lauren believes in building a trusting relationship between the body and the mind. She is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 trained — a modality that allows for exploration of the many parts of her. clients’ identities, and reconnects them back with their self. She utilizes an eclectic and tailored approach for each of her clients, including: IFS, psychodynamic theory, and mindfulness.

Grace Chen, LCSW

Gwen tailors her therapeutic approach to address individual needs, drawing from various modalities such as psychodynamic theories, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. She holds a strengths-based lens with the belief that each individual has the ability to meet their own needs.

Abby is a LCSW from Massachusetts but works as the practice manager at Ember Psychotherapy Collective. Outside of Ember, she is also a social worker. Abby works with children, adolescents, and teens. Abby’s unique social work and psychotherapy background helps Ember excel as a practice under her management.

Betsy has loved working in and around schools to better her comprehensive understanding of healthy child development. She is particularly fascinated by educational sociology and the role that school plays in a student’s understanding of herself and the world around her. 

Betsy loves listening to music and podcasts. She is always excited to try new restaurants in the area, and, of course, hit a beach on sunny summer days!

Skylar’s goal is to use empathy, humor, and openness to create a space where you feel safe to express yourself without judgement and ready to begin processing your experiences. Skylar is passionate about helping children and youth learn how to cope with difficult emotions and situations, improve their relationships with others, and discover who they want to be. She likes to meet these clients where they’re at and incorporate their interests into sessions through the use of art, music, or play.  Skylar also enjoys working with young adults seeking to work through issues of anxiety, stress, family conflict, relationships, low self-esteem and life transitions. She approaches therapy using a collaborative, person-centered approach, where you are the expert on your journey and she is here to help support you in your growth. She often incorporates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) principles into her work. Additionally, Skylar specializes in working with athletes on common performance issues such as confidence, focus, motivation, and overcoming injury to perform at their best and has experience providing solution-based therapy to help individuals achieve their goals within a specific timeframe.
